8 hours tour – under request. The Golden Lion Tamarin is endemic to the Atlantic Forest of the coastal lowlands of the state of Rio de Janeiro and it occurs at the São João river basin, in the municipalities of Casemiro de Abreu, Silva Jardim, Rio Bonito, Cachoeiras de Macacu, Cabo Frio and Macaé.
Petropolis

Located just 60 km / 38 mi from Rio de Janeiro, Petropolis is Brazil’s “imperial city.” Home to the former palace and gardens of Emperor Dom Pedro II, Petropolis is one of Central Brazil’s most unique destinations and as such is is highly recommended to visit during your stay.
